Which Topics Pay High in Google Adsense Program?

As the importance of blogging (making money online) is increasing, there are many people searching for the following queries
  • best adsense niches that pay high
  • top paying adsense niches
  • list of adsense categories that pay high
Even I used to search for these queries in my beginning days of blogging. So I thought of sharing the list of high paid niches for Google Adsense. The list is completely based on my experience in Blogging & Adsense (since 4 years) as well as few advices from fellow bloggers.
  1. Health: Weigh Loss & Fitness, Anti-aging, Cancer, Dentistry and Orthodontics
  2. Insurance: Car and auto insurance, Health and Medical Insurance
  3. Computers & Internet: Computer Hardware, Computer Repairs, PC and Internet Security, Dedicated Hosting, ISP and Networking, Online Degree, SEO software and tools, Web Development, Stock Broking
  4. Banking and Finance: Loans and Mortgage, Credit and Finance, Debt consolidation
  5. Legal representation: Searches for attorney increased the bidding rate for this niche
  6. Digital Photography: digital photography schools, certificate, digital photography education, Careers in photography
  7. Psychotherapy: We can include this category in health, but i think it is best to treat this as a different niche as it gives more adsense revenue as a separate site.
  8. Real Estate: A damn good niche for getting good adsense income. Google pays nice price for clicks on these Real Estate related ads.
  9. Consumer Electronics: Gadgets, Mobiles and many other Electronic devices
  10. Antiques and Collectibles: Another good niche to choose for getting high adsense income.
  11. Dating: There are Lots of lonely hearts out there and the online dating sites are willing to pay more money to find them.
I know what you’re thinking now! Start blogs in all niches and receive huge sum of money from Google Adsense! Right?
That’s really a wrong idea. If you do so, you’ll definitely feel bored of blogging in a matter of days. Only chose the niche that interests you. It is always advisable to blog on your interests rather than writing just for money. Because, you can write valuable and quality content if the topic you chose is of your interest. Or-Else you have to suffer from poor quality content which in turn affects your visitors as well as the income from Adsense.
So, my advice is choose a niche that interests you, Write Quality Content, Optimize your website for Search Engines using SEO and then boom.. Your website will receive high paid ads thus resulting in good Adsense Revenue.

AdSense Optimization Tips for Relevant & High Paying Adsense Ads

Google AdSense Optimization Tips will help to target for relevant ads on your sites. Many AdSense publishers complain they get ads irrespective of their sites concept. This is due to the lack of content. Google displays ads based on the content or text on our site and if that content is missing, it displays irrelevant ads or Public service ads (PSAs). For this, you have to write keyword rich content [not keyword stuffing].
If you don’t know how to write a Keyword rich article, you can hire a SEO Content Writer. If you don’t want others to write for you, follow the below AdSense Optimization Tips.

Keyword Rich Content:
The main reason for getting off-targeted ads is due to “lack of content”. So, first concentrate on content. There is a famous saying that “Content is the King” which exactly suits the situation. Remember, you should never stuff keywords of high CPC in your content. This will also result in off-targeted ads. Even if the CPC is high, the users ignore those advertisements since the ads are not relevant to your site.

Delete Spam Comments:
Sometimes, Google display advertisements based on the keywords or words that are present in the comments section of our blog. So, delete those comments that are spam [comments that are off-topic].
Section Targeting:
Section targeting allows us to suggest text or HTML content which will be used by Google to display your content related ads. Visit AdSense Support for more information on Section targeting.

Competitive Ad Filter:
This is a very useful feature available in Google AdSense to block unwanted ads from appearing on our sites. Try it.

Less Ad Blocks:
If you have more ads on a single page, there is a chance of low playing advertisements [low CPC] displayed on your site along with the high paying ads. There will be very less chances for user click the high CPC ads. So, don’t place more number of ad blocks in a single page.
Along with this AdSense Optimization Tips, also Concentrate on Search Engine Optimization to build traffic to your site.

Boost Your Adsense Earnings by using AdSense Section Targeting

Google Adsense is the no.1 contextual advertisement program and many people find it easy to set up. The big advantage of Google Adsense Program is it will never let your blog run out of advertisements. Even if you don’t have enough content, Google displays ads (may it be relevant or irrelevant to your niche).

What do you mean by irrelevant advertisement?
Irrelevant advertisement means the ads that are showing on your blog posts aren’t familiar with what post says. For Suppose if we write a post about Blogging Tips and the advertisement shown by adsense is something about Puppies, then chances of Visitors clicking on such ads is negligible. Whereas if adsense shows the advertisements related to Blogging, then there are more chances of getting clicks on such adverts. This is ultimately boost your Adsense Revenue.

How to implement Adsense section targeting?
When we write a particular post we may write some example like puppies, science, dummies etc.. which are off-topic but we use these words as they looks interesting when reading. Obviously we can’t except to afford dogs and puppies advertisements on a technology blog. To stop this from happening, we need to tell Google adsense crawler, where to look for the lines from where they can place meaningful advertisements. To do this, Google had given us a chance to use the below lines of code at the starting and ending of our keyword rich lines.
<!– google_ad_section_start –>
<!– google_ad_section_end –>
Ex: <!– google_ad_section_start –>
Adsense Section Targeting allows users to display advertisements related to your niche, thus getting more clicks from users.
<!– google_ad_section_end –>
Note: You need to try out with the ideal placement of these code because if you failed to give enough keywords to the crawler, it may display blank ads. Also remember that it might take 15-30 days for the adsense crawler to crawl your page for the newly added adsense section targeting codes.
You can also refer to official Google guide on Section targeting.

Keep Your Adsense Account Safe from Getting Disabled

18 Mistakes That Voilates google Adsense Terms Of Services

What is Google Adsense Program?
Google Adsense is a Popular Web Advertising Program that provides a good income source for many websites.Anyone can earn through Adsense, but in a right way. If you follow the wrong ways [Fraudulent Activities], your account will be in great danger and also Google may penalize you [Account Ban]. So, here are the common mistakes that violate Google Adsense TOS.
  1. Never click your own adsense ads or get them clicked for whatever reason. Never use automated clicking tools, or other deceptive software. Google is very smart to detect fraudulent clicks. This is a very popular mistake everyone doing these days.
Tip: If you want to preview your ads without your impressions or clicks being recorded, Use Google Adsense Preview Tool.
  2. Never change the Adsense code. There is no need of altering the code. If you do so, Google easily knows about it and bans your account.
Tip: You can change the color and size of your ads in the adsense account itself. After Modifying, Just copy the code and paste it in your site.
  3. Number of Adsense Ad Units to be placed in your website is not more than 3 Text/Image ads, 3 Link Ads and 2 Search Boxes.
Tip: This will not make your account banned. Even if you place more ads, they will be hided.
  4. You can run competitive contextual text ad or search services on the same site which offer Google Adsense competition in their field. But, they should not resemble Adsense ads.
Tip: Place the other Publisher ads beneath Google Ads. Best is that always Adsense ads will be on top.
  5. Do not disclose confidential information about your account like the CTR, CPM and income derived via individual ad units or any other confidential information they may reveal to you. However, you may reveal the total money you make as per recent updates to the TOS.
  6. Label headings as “sponsored links” or “advertisements” only. Other labels are not allowed. I have seen many sites label ads with other titles. Dont make your site a target in a few seconds gaze.
  7. Never launch a New Page for clicked ads by default. Adsense ads should open on the same page. You may be using a base target tag to open all links in a new window or frame by default. Correct it now as they do not want new pages opening from clicked ads.
  8. One Account suffices for Multiple websites. You do not need to create 5 accounts for 5 different websites. One account will do. If you live in the fear that if one account is closed down for violation of TOS, believe me they will close all accounts when they find out. You can keep track of clicks by using channels with real time statistics. They will automatically detect the new site and display relevant ads.
  9. Place ads only on Content Pages. Advertisers pay only for content based ads. Content drives relevant ads. Although you might manage some clicks from error, login, registration, “thank you” or welcome pages, parking pages or pop ups, it will get you out of the program.
  10. Do not mask ad elements. Alteration of colors and border is a facility to blend or contrast ads as per your site requirements. I have seen many sites where the url part is of the same color as the background. While blending the ad with your site is a good idea, hiding relevant components of the ads is not allowed. Also do not block the visibility of ads by overlapping images, pop ups, tables etc.
  11. Do not send your ads by email. HTML formatted emails look good and allow placement of these Javascript ads. But it is not allowed as per TOS. You do not want impressions registering on their logs from any email even once. They are watching!
  12. Keep track of your content. So Adsense is not allowed on several non content pages. But it is also not allowed on several content pages too. Do not add it on web pages with MP3, Video, News Groups, and Image Results. Also exclude any pornographic, hate-related, violent, or illegal content.
  13. Do not alter the results after ad clicks or searches – Ensure you are not in any way altering the site which the user reaches to after clicking the ads. Do not frame, minimize, remove, redirect or otherwise inhibit the full and complete display of any Advertiser Page or Search Results Page after the user clicks on any Ad or Search results.
  14. Avoid excessive advertising and keyword stuffing – Although the definition of ‘excessive’ is a gray area and is subject to discretion, yet Google adsense with correct placement, focused content and high traffic will get you much more income than other programs, so excessive advertising is not required. Keyword stuffing does target better focused ads, but overdoing it is not required.
  15. Ensure you Language is Supported – Adsense supports “Chinese (simplified), Japanese, Danish, Korean, Dutch, Norwegian, English, Polish, Finnish, Portuguese, French, Russian, German, Spanish, Hungarian, Swedish, Italian and Turkish”. In addition, AdSense for search is available in Czech, Slovak, and Traditional Chinese. If your web pages language is not supported, do not use the code on such pages.
  16. Maximum 2 referral button per product per page – With the launch of the google adsense referral program, you are allowed to put only 2 referral buttons for adsense referral, adwords referral, Google pack and Firefox with google toolbar referral. Update: This feature is closing Aug 2008.
  17. Do not specify Google ads as your alternate ads. – Several services like Chitika eminimalls allow you to place alternate urls, when a targeted paying ad cannot be displayed. This involved creating an simple html page and putting the ad to be displayed instead. Even Adsense allows an alternate url feature instead of displaying public service ads. But never use Adsense ads as alternate urls. See [Adsense Certified Networks]
  18. Do not confuse with adjacent images – It was a common policy to increase CTR by placing same number of images as the number of text ads, which falsely gave the impression that the text ads represented an explanation to these images. Inserting a small space or a line between the images and ads is not allowed. Make sure that the ads and images are not arranged in a way that could easily mislead or confuse your visitors.
Whenever in doubt, it is better to ask for adsense help from the learned staff of Google Adsense. They are very helpful!

Reasons for Low Adsense Earnings & Their Solutions

Do you feel that your Adsense earnings are being reduced day after day? There are 4 main reasons that lead to low adsense earnings which were discussed below.
1.Excess Use of Adsense Advertisements
The proverb “more is better” doesn’t suit Google Adsense these days which used to work in earlier days. So, never try to display too many advertisements on a single page with wrong intention that it will help increase user clicks.
Remember that placing too many adsense ads will result in irrelevant ads on your page. The reason being not all niches will have advertisers bidding to place ads on your page.
Solution: Try to use less ad blocks that too on the top of the web page because the ads displayed at the beginning of the page tend to get good clicks (CTR) and thus result in decent CPC.

2.Placing Adsense Ads on newly created blogs
Placing advertisements on a newly created blog will result in “Smart Pricing” as Google has an opinion that quality of visitors to a new website or blog is good enough for advertisers and thus your CPC will be lowered which again results in low adsense earnings.
Solution: Place Advertisements only after your website had enough content and decent unique visitors for high CPC.

3.Writing Irrelevant Titles & Headings
There are a few bloggers who try to write attractive titles irrespective of the content in the article just with an intention to drag visitors to their site. This will confuse the adsense bots between the relevant & irrelevant content. So, sometimes low paying (irrelevant adsense ads) will be displayed.
Solution: If you wanted to write catchy titles or heading, be on the topic and just be creative. Don’t go over wrong methods of attracting people. It’ll even result in high bounce rate.

4.Improper Placement of Adsense Ads
There are few ad placement positions that work well for most blogs. Remember, the higher the ad’s position, the higher the click rate and cost per click..

New Changes to the Google Adsense Account Approval Process

There is no point in mentioning again that Google Adsense is the best contextual online advertising network of all. Till now, Adsense account approval process was quick and simple. You create an Adsense account by giving your site/blog, account details and your account will be accepted if your site/blog meets the minimum requirement criteria in the review process. You can immediately implement Adsense ads on your blog to start earning money.
But it’s not the case from now on, as Google Adsense has changed the account approval process by adding the 2-step verification process.
  1. Sign-Up for Google Adsense -> Account Reviewed & if requirements are met, you’ll be passed through the first stage
  2. Implement the Ads on your blog -> Account reviewed once again -> Final approval granted.
Even if you pass the first step, you’ll have to wait for the final approval why because any click on the ads you implemented on your site will not be counted until unless you pass the final approval stage. You can’t even login to your adsense account after the 1st step.
This 2-step verification process is imposed as this will help in verifying the domain ownership.
Disadvantage: A big disadvantage is that this change may affect the services like IndyaRocks, Hubpages etc.. which provide free Adsense account even if you don’t have a website.
